Emily Forlini
Emerging Tech Reporter, PCMag & Podcast Host

About Me
As a features writer at PCMag, I cover the biggest tech trends that shape the way we live and work. I specialize in on-the-ground reporting, uncovering stories from the people who are at the center of change—whether that’s the CEO of a high-valued startup or an everyday person taking on Big Tech. I also cover daily tech news and breaking stories, contextualizing them so you get the full picture.
On top of my work at PCMag, I am the co-host of the Superintelligent podcast, a bi-weekly tech correspondent on CBS, and a monthly co-host of the Tech News Weekly podcast (TWiT network). I work regularly with the same networks and people, and am known for being easy to work with and ready to comment on any trending tech topic with expertise.

My Background
I’ve lived all over the US: born in New Jersey, childhood in Minnesota, college at Columbia in NYC, then out to LA, Seattle, Chicago for my graduate degree in journalism at Northwestern, and now NYC.
Journalism is my second career. I spent my early years as a product manager at Amazon. I had a fulfilling career there, growing from individual contributor to manager as I oversaw the development an deployment of over two dozen new tech systems. But I wanted to explore something else, and journalism was always in the back of my mind. Changing careers has been a rewarding adventure, proving to me that settling would’ve actually been a riskier choice.
Outside of work, I enjoy visiting museums (history major), playing soccer and guitar, getting outside, and exploring new restaurants.
